Booking your travel to Byron Bay
Ballina Byron Gateway airport is a small regional airport located in Ballina, a 30 minute drive south of Byron Bay it offers daily flights to and from Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle. Up to 58 flights per week operate out of the airport on Jetstar, Virgin and Rex.

Gold Coast Aiport (airport code OOL)
An international Australian airport located in Coolangatta (southern end of the Gold Coast), a 45 minute drive north of Byron Bay. With over 420 flights per week, Gold Coast airport flights arrive from all the major Australian cities and some regional centres.

Airlines with services our of Gold Coast airport include Jestar, Virgin, Qantas, Air New Zealand, Air Asia, Scoot, Tigerair and Hong Kong Airlines.

There are numerous shuttle services running from the airport to Byron Bay. If you prefer to have your own transport while on holiday you can rent a car at the Gold Coast airport.

Getting Around Byron Bay
While in Byron Bay you will find that the compact nature of the town makes it easy to get around on foot. However, if you need to travel  alittle further you can take a local bus or taxi.

Climate
Byron Bay's mild, termperate climate makes it a perfect place to holiday year round. With sunny days and warm temperatures common for most of the year. During spring in Byron Bay (Sep-Nov) the average temperature sits between 18°C and 25°C.

Currency/Banking
The currency used is the Australian dollar. Banking hours are usually 0900 -1600hrs, Monday to Friday. Automatic Teller Machines are well spread throughout Byron Bay. International credit cards are accepted throughout the country at banks, most hotels and city stores

Dress for all sessions and social functions is business casual.

Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration. We ask that you wear your badge at all times, including social functions. Entry tickets will be given for all social and optional events

Public transport in Byron Bay
The public bus network and numerous bicycle paths make it easy to get around Byron Bay. Tasxi, hire cars and bus tours are also available.

Transport from Ballina Byron Gateway airport
The airport is approximately 29 minutes from Crystalbrook Resort. Taxis are available at all times of the day from the front of the airport terminal from $75. Byron Easy Bus also operate a shuttle service that can take you into Byron Bay from $35 byron bay shuttle

Crystalbrook Resort Transport
The resort operates a shuttle service three times a day. Alternatively you can reserve your private transport directly through Byron Bay byronbayluxelimousines.com

Entry into Australia
Unless you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, you will need a visa to enter Australia. All visitors to Australia must have a passport which is valid for the proposed duration of your stay. Visa information and the visa application form are available on homeaffairs.gov.au. If you require a Visitor’s Visa, please allow at least 5-6 weeks for processing.
